The history of fortresses Museum - Valletta Malta

The fortress builders is a newly renovated bastions interior, made to fit its real purpose. Back in the days also know as ' biagio steps '' was used for Matsec examinations. Now it has been transformed into a new age state of the art museum.

Descriding and showing the eras, stages of building development on how bastions and fortresses were constructed as early as the 13th century.

Split on 3 levels the lower level welcomes guests with a large open space reception with what is left of an authentic fortress gate.

The first hall is beautifully designed with open space for one to see from a distance the large time line mural which is dated and illustrated. Leading you to a modern steel and glass façade stair case to the upper floors, hosting the two larger halls. Beautifully layed out and designed with the visitor in mind, with finest craftsmanship in wood materials. Giving you a feel of the place and sending the visitor back in time. Detailed timeline and boards with reconstructed interactive models of fortresses and castles bring to life the museum.

The top floor leading to a huge terrace over looking the beautiful scenery, of Sliema and the port, is mainly used as exhibiting space and seminars.
