A Colourful,bright and vivid photographic exhibition. Which was on display at the Arts and Cultural Center at St.James Cavalier Valletta.
Well presented and well executed. The photography was clear and precise. Images were beautifully mounted, on a glass plate printed on the back side. Layout and presentation, were pleasing to the eye. Showing that a substantial amount of attention was given, on how the layout of the images would be presented in order to impact the audience as much as possible.
The only problem found when viewing such work was the highly reflective surface of the glass interfered with the viewing of the image. Constantly finding the right angle to view and enjoy the colours of the images.
Most of the images, being portraits in nature. With a twist and artistic feel to them. Combining subjects and themes, that leave the audience think. The photographer makes use of a filter, giving the images a yellowish vintage look to them, in my opinion this should have either been used in all the images or none. As to make all images look all continuous. Though this is not really the main issue, images do connect and colour schemes are all similar.
Moving throughout the exhibition one can notice various artistic art works and jewel pieces that, are introduced in the images to accompany the theme or portraits.
The portraits were well executed and technically correct, having right exposures. No blown highlights being visible.
