Agnolo Di Cosimo - Italian Painter

Il - Bronzino also known as Agnolo di cosimo

November 17, 1503 - November 23, 1572

He was an Italian artist around the 16th being one of the best artists at he time. Living all his life in Florence ( Italy ) most of his works were related and close to that of his mentor , Jacopo Pontormo.

Being more successful in certain areas than his mentor he then became the Medici,s painter and also the court painter. Even after his death for a whole century. His portraiture has proven to be his legacy . Following on his mentors  artistic ideas he continued to develop them and this helped in creating portraiture which was realistic and true.


He mainly worked with, oils, wood and metals. Subjects mainly were figures and his main focus was on paintings.
